NouLou & LYO Master Artist musicians side-by-side for Violins of Hope Louisville (October 2019)

NouLou Chamber Players is committed to the education of chamber music and has collaborated with other music education programs over the years, including Louisville Academy of Music, Louisville Youth Orchestra, and the University of Louisville School of Music Composition Department & New Music Festival.

We have also participated in outreach concert opportunities made possible by the Imagine Greater Louisville 2020 Grant through the Louisville Musicians Union and Louisville Youth Orchestra.

In the summer of 2025, NouLou Chamber Players & Oxmoor Farm commissioned a new musical story by Sebastian Chang titled “Helen & Nora: A Musical Journey & Hands-On Adventure” about two women who lived at Oxmoor Farm during two different time periods. The premiere performances were supported by the Fund for the Arts Mini Grant and the commission was supported by the Oxmoor Farm Foundation. For the 24/25 Season, NouLou collaborated with Louisville Academy of Music with their chamber music program, including a side-by-side performance with LAM students and NouLou artists.

In 2016, NouLou started a chamber music coaching program for the Louisville Youth Orchestra called Master Artist Chamber Players. A highlight was performing in the 2019 Violins of Hope Louisville with a side-by-side performance consisting of LYO students and NouLou artists.

Louisville Academy of Music Summer Symposium (July 2020)

In the summer of 2020, NouLou started collaborating with the Louisville Academy of Music through their Summer Symposium through coaching youth chamber ensembles and performing in faculty recordings.

In Fall 2021, NouLou was proud to be Artists in Residence with the University of Louisville School of Music Composition Department, working closely with its graduate students in masterclasses and which culminated in performing their works for the New Music Festival in November 2021.
